Fear

No one has ever died from direct pointing.

No one has received any harm at all from direct pointing.

Millions around the world do die every year from cancer, heart disease, stroke, tuberculosis, diabetes, kidney disease, HIV, and severe diarrhea.(1)

In the US; tobacco, inactivity, poor diet, alcohol and the health care system, as well as automobiles make up the leading causes of death.

These are accurate descriptions of what actually kills people.

Who is frightened of these things ?

Frankly, it’s hard to get anyone interested.

Why ?

We believe it won’t happen to ME.

On the other hand, a little chat with a guide online,

or in someone’s living room,

surrounded by peaceful people

and cups of herb tea

brings up… fear ?

What’s going on ?

Fear is “self” protective.

Fear keeps the “me” in charge of “my life”.

Fear preserves the stories of the doer and the possessor.

When looking starts to get close to the self image masquerade,
fear kicks in.

Fear grabs attention – hard.

What is the relationship to fear ?

Is the fear based in truth or in imagination ?

Does the legitimacy of the fear stand up to scrutiny ?

Is there really a threat anywhere,
or just life taking a step forward toward maturation ?

Who is threatened, really ?

Just Look !

Inspired by a recent chat with a friend. She was asking about Direct Pointing, and was obviously afraid. Fear sounds like it plays some part in many of these waking up experiences. Seemed time to have another run at it. Thanks for the feedback !

Great! And so humorously well said! Ah fear…..some dip their little toes in, some foot, some leg, and the brave (Truth or Die) just jump right in. Have to say it took a long time/no-time to get past the toes!
